What muscle do you use to sing?
The muscles used in singing are the intercostal muscles, the diaphragm, the abdominal muscles, the laryngeal muscles, and the tongue. The intercostal muscles are located between the ribs and help to expand and contract the chest cavity. The diaphragm is a dome-shaped muscle located at the bottom of the rib cage and helps to move air in and out of the lungs. The abdominal muscles help to support the diaphragm and control the release of air from the lungs. The laryngeal muscles control the pitch and volume of the voice. The tongue helps to shape the sound of the voice.
