What is the action of serratus anterior muscle?

Action: Protracts & rotates shoulder joint to upward rotation; assist in deep inspiration

Origin: 1st- 8th ribs -costal surface

Insertion: Ventral margin of scapula (medial border)

Nerve supply: long thoracic nerve (C5, C6, C7)
