Taping Technique for Tennis Elbow
As the name suggests, tennis elbow occurs frequently in people who play tennis, although it isn't exclusive to tennis players. The pain experienced in tennis elbow is primarily due to inflammation of the extensor carpi radialis brevis muscle, located directly below the elbow joint. Give plenty of rest to the affected elbow, for a speedy recovery. During the healing process, tape the elbow to alleviate some of the pain and discomfort.Things You'll Need

1
Hold the injured arm in front of you, with your palm faced down and your elbow slightly bent.
-
2
Locate the lateral epicondyle bone. This is the bone that sticks out on the top of the elbow and feels like a little ball.
-
3
Place sports tape on the top of your forearm, 2 cm below the lateral epicondyle.
-
4
Wrap the tape around the forearm so it runs parallel with your wrist. Make sure the tape is snug, but not so tight that it causes discomfort or restricts blood flow. The tape should adhere to itself with no problem.
-
5
Replace the tape every 24 hours to ensure that the skin stays clean and the tape works efficiently.
