How to Use Polar Care 300
Ease the pain and discomfort of tendon or joint injuries after an accident or surgery by using cryotherapy. When cold is applied to an injured area, blood flow and the release of pain stimulating chemicals is reduced, helping the decrease swelling and discomfort. Cryotherapy, or cold therapy, can easily be undertaken at home using ice bags or by massaging ice into the affected area. However, for more serious injuries or after surgery, your health care professional may prescribe the use of a cryotherapy machine, such as the Polar Care 300, to target a more specific area and promote deep healing.Things You'll Need

2
Move the carry handle on the unit so that it's flat and remove the lid.
-
3
Fill the unit with ice and water to the maximum mark. Replace the lid and bring the handle to an upright position.
-
4
Connect the tubing to the pad and to the lid of the unit by gently pushing the connectors together.
-
5
Place the unit on a firm, level surface that is no lower than 2 feet below the area to be treated.
-
6
Connect the power cord and plug it into a power supply to start treatment.
-
7
Follow your prescription for usage time and check the skin under the pad and barrier for any adverse effects, such as increased redness, discoloration or additional swelling, every two hours. Stop the treatment if there are any adverse reactions and contact your health care professional.

Disconnect the unit from the power supply at the end of the treatment. Remove the tubing from the pad and unit and empty the water and ice if no further treatment is required. The ice and water solution will last for six to eight hours and can be reused throughout the day.
