Do girls with Syndrome act aggressively?
Girls with Rett syndrome may display aggressive behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior or aggression toward others. These behaviors are often related to communication difficulties and the frustration of not being able to express themselves or meet their needs. They might get aggressive because they are in pain, upset because of the condition itself, or may exhibit self-injury behaviours such as hand biting. Aggressive tendencies may also come up as a side effect of the medications being given.
