How do kids become obese?

There are a number of factors that can contribute to childhood obesity, including:

Genetics: Some people are more likely to be obese than others due to their genes. However, genetics alone does not determine whether or not a child will become obese.

Environment: The environment in which a child lives can also play a role in their weight. Children who are raised in homes where there is a lot of unhealthy food and little physical activity are more likely to become obese.

Behavior: Children who eat a lot of unhealthy foods, drink sugary drinks, and get little physical activity are more likely to become obese.

Medical conditions: Some medical conditions, such as hypothyroidism, can also contribute to obesity.

It is important to note that obesity is not simply a matter of eating too much and not getting enough exercise. There are a number of complex factors that can contribute to this condition.
