Risk for Pregnant Women
-
If there is any chance that you may be pregnant, you should consult with your doctor beforehand, because there is serious risk of harm to the child.
Complications
-
Because a Dexa scan is a non-invasive procedure, there are no possible complications from the Dexa scan procedure.
Bottom Line
-
The risks that go with a Dexa scan are very small, while the the accurate, quick and non-invasive test can be very beneficial. Dexa scans should be considered completely safe.
