Tincture means alcoholic extract and opium is extracted from the poppy plant. Paregoric comes in liquid form and is taken one to four times daily or immediately following a loose bowel movement.       Minnesota is world renowned for its hospitals. The number one is the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The Clinic's pharmacy is located on the main floor of the Davis Building on the campus. Only prescriptions for paregoric written by Clinic doctors can be filled.       The College of Pharmacy at University of Minnesota is located at both the Minneapolis and Duluth campuses. Together with Allina Community Pharmacies, students are able to fill prescriptions, such as paregoric, in 15 pharmacies throughout the state.
