When should you not give a massage?

* Cancer: Massaging an area with cancer can spread the cancer cells to other parts of the body.

* Fractures: Massaging an area with a fracture can cause further damage to the bone.

* Pregnancy: Massaging certain areas during pregnancy can cause complications, such as miscarriage or premature labor.

* Lymphedema: Massaging an area with lymphedema can worsen the condition by causing fluid to accumulate in the tissues.

* Acute inflammation: Massaging an area with acute inflammation can increase the swelling and pain.

* Other medical conditions: Some medical conditions, such as heart disease, kidney disease, and diabetes, may make it unsafe to receive a massage.
