Kodak Polar Care Instructions

Cold therapy is used both as an initial treatment to minor injuries and muscle tears, and as part of a more thorough therapy for patients with serious health conditions like recent surgeries. Because cold therapy is effective, a wide variety of cold therapy products are sold today. These body-cooling systems can be used by anyone. However, you must be extremely careful when using cold therapy products. The Polar Care Kodiak cooling system from Breg, for example, clearly states the product can be cold enough to cause serious skin injuries. To avoid this, proper operating instructions must be observed.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Kodiak cooling unit by lifting the button on top of the lid.

    • 2

Fill the Kodiak with ice and water, but follow the ice and water level indicators. Inside the cooling jug are two lines; fill the ice up to the line marked first level, then fill the water up to the line marked second level. Do not overfill.

    • 3

Attach the end cord with the Intelli-Flo Pad to the other end of the cord connected to the Kodiak cooling jug. You have firmly attached both ends if you hear a click.

    • 4

Sit beside the Kodiak cooling system and wear the Intelli-Flo Pad on the injured knee.

    • 5

Insert the plug at the slot provided found on the lid of the Kodiak. Plug the Kodiak to the outlet, but keep your hands dry.
