Instructions

    • 1

Exercise regularly and take care of your health. Even 15 minutes of moderate exercise a day can help to regulate mood swings.

    • 2

Eat a healthy diet. This promotes good health in the long run as well as keeping mood swings under control.

    • 3

Get enough sleep. A rested body and mind is less prone to mood swings.

    • 4

Establish a daily routine; knowing what activities to expect each day helps to stabilize your mood as you will be less likely to be overwhelmed by unpredictable events.

    • 5

Minimize taking on new activities that you are not sure you are ready for. Avoid over scheduling yourself, and learn to say "No."

    • 6

Change undesirable habits that may be weighing you down or causing you too much stress.

    • 7

Set goals. When you have a goal, you will more likely have something to keep you moving forward and decently busy.

    • 8

Plan your day according to what you feel like doing.

    • 9

Talk to a friend. Venting by letting someone else know what you are feeling can help to relieve stress and control mood swings.
