    • Chaste berry is a helpful herb when dealing with PMS. One of the active ingredients in this herb has a dopamine effect which helps raise your progesterone levels. A study by Dr. James Goodwin, MD showed that women with lower progesterone have more PMS symptoms then those with higher levels. Because this herb will help increase your progesterone, your symptoms of PMS will decrease. Therefore, less bloating, irritability and depression during your monthly cycle.

    Dong Quai

    • Dong quai has been used for thousands of years to help relieve symptoms such as, bloating, cramping and irregular cycles. This herb contains compounds that can help reduce pain and relax uterine muscles. However, there have only been a few studies done on dong quai so it is important to discuss this with your doctor before taking this herb.
