How to Use Progesterone Cream for Heavy Bleeding

- Bioidentical progesterone cream

Start applying bioidentical progesterone cream 10 days after the first day of your last menstrual period. If you are treating bleeding from endometriosis, being applying the cream eight days after your last menstrual period.

Apply 1/4 tsp. of progesterone cream daily to an area such as your arm, belly or thigh. If the progesterone treatment is for endometriosis, increase the dose to 3/4 tsp. Change areas frequently to aid absorption.

Stop applying the cream on the last day before your expected period. The withdrawal from progesterone will bring on menstruation. The first day of your menstrual period is considered Day 1 of the next cycle.
