What is clexane 40mg taken for which illness?
Clexane 40mg is used to prevent and treat a range of conditions associated with blood clots, including:
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) - a blood clot that forms in a deep vein, usually in the leg.
- Pulmonary embolism (PE) - a blood clot that lodges in an artery in the lungs, blocking blood flow and causing death.
- Unstable angina - a type of chest pain caused by a sudden reduction in blood flow to the heart, often as a result of a blood clot in the coronary arteries.
- Heart attack - a condition caused by a lack of blood flow to the heart musculature resulting in damage to part of the heart.
