    • A doctor may prescribe SMZ-TMP DS to treat a range of a bacterial infections such as middle ear, urinary tract or respiratory infections. SMZ TMP DS can also be used to treat certain types of pneumonia. This medication should not be shared and should not be used to treat viral infections, such as the flu.
