What is Venofer Patient Assistance Program?
Doctors prescribe Venofer for patients undergoing hemodialysis who suffer from iron deficiency. American Regent offers Venofer free of charge to qualified patients that cannot afford the medication they need.-
Eligibility
-
Patients must have no health insurance and must not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid. They must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. American Regent may require patients to provide proof of citizenship. Patients must also meet income guidelines established by American Regent.
How to Apply
-
Download an application from the American Regent website (see Resources). A physician or other health care provider must complete the application and send it to the address on the application. Health care providers can also apply on behalf of patients by phone by calling 800-282-7712.
How the Program Works
-
American Regents sends a month's supply of Venofer to the patient's physician or dialysis treatment center. At the end of each month, the health care provider sends in a request for another month's supply.
