Difference Between Proviron & Clomid

Proviron is a steroid used to burn fat and build muscles. Clomid is an ovulatory stimulant for infertile women. No one except women who have been prescribed Clomid for infertility should take Clomid. Proviron shouldn't be taken illegally, either. Both can have negative, and even fatal results if not taken as a doctor prescribes.

Who It's For: Proviron

• Proviron is for men who have a prescription for it. In women, it can cause male sexual characteristics.

Who It's For: Clomid

• Clomid is only for women who cannot produce ova and who have a prescription.

Main Effect: Proviron

• Proviron burns fat and increases muscles if combined with testosterone. It is an anabolic steroid. A schedule 3 drug and controlled substance, it is illegal to use if not prescribed by a doctor.

• Clomid is an ovulatory stimulant and can jump start a woman's body into producing eggs. Though it can impede the creation of estrogen in a woman's body, it acts very similarly to estrogen. Clomid can also increase the testosterone level in a woman. Though mainly just an ovulatory stimulant, Clomid is also sometimes used for breast milk production, male infertility, menstrual abnormalities and fibrocystic breasts.

Estrogen and Testosteron

• Both Clomid and Proviron can increase testosterone in the body. Clomid can reduce estrogen and Proviron can reduce the estrogen created by other steroids.

Side Effects

• Proviron can cause male pattern baldness and prostate enlargement. Clomid can cause headaches, ovarian enlargement, bloating, nausea, vomiting and uterine bleeding.
