Can you get a rash from tampon?
Toxic shock syndrome (TSS)
This is a rare bacterial infection that can happen to women who use tampons.TSS can also occur among women who've just given birth or had an abortion.
You need medical attention right away if you experience symptoms of TSS, which include:
• A high fever (102 degrees Fahrenheit or higher)
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Achy muscles
• Headache
• Confusion
• A rash that looks like a sunburn
• Red eyes, mouth, and throat
• Low blood pressure
