Home Remedies for Skin Rashes on the Palm of the Hand

A rash on the delicate skin of the palm can be very irritating. If you can longer tolerate the rash, there are a few things you can do to try to make yourself more comfortable. But before you try any of these remedies, speak to your doctor.
  1. Aloe Vera

    • Aloe vera is known to heal and soothe skin. Aloe gel can be bought in a bottle, or you can take the gel directly from the plant. Peel the outside layer to find the inner gel and rub it directly on the palm of your hand two to three times per day.

    Vitamin C

    • A mixture of crushed vitamin C tablets and water applied directly to the rash on your palm may cure your rash, according to Douglas Darr, a professor at the Duke University Medical Center.

    Compress

    • According to the Mayo Clinic, the rash on your palm can be soothed by applying a cool, wet compress to it. Covering up the area with the compress keeps the skin protected and also keeps you from scratching it.

    Anti-Itch Cream

    • Apply a nonprescription hydrocortisone cream to the palm. It should contain at least 1 percent hydrocortisone. This will help relieve some of the itchiness temporarily, according to the Mayo Clinic.
