Skin Rashes in Adults

Adults have a tendency to develop rashes that can be mild or severe. These rashes can be the result of allergic reactions, side effects to medications or they can be conditions of their own. Most of the time, they are treatable and are not life-threatening.
  1. Hives

    • Hives are a skin rash that appear as little red bumps that become inflamed and itchy. They are usually the result of an allergic reaction.

    Eczema

    • Eczema is a condition that is also called atopic dermatitis. It causes the skin to become red, irritated and itchy.

    Shingles

    • Shingles is a form of herpes that is caused from the chicken pox virus that was once dormant and has become active again. When this happens, painful blisters can develop.

    Psoriasis

    • Psoriasis is a condition where the cells of the skin grow too fast and as a result, red blotches form that can become irritated and itchy.

    Rosacea

    • Rosacea is a skin rash that bares similar characteristics to acne. Small bumps develop on the face that are filled with pus.
