How to Cure a Neck Rash

There are many causes of rashes on the neck. Rubbing from articles of clothing, skin folds or exposure to environmental factors such as sun, cold, wind or pollen may also trigger a rash to appear on the neck. There are various ways of treating a rash that involve soothing and moisturizing the area and then healing the wounds. A rash can appear as spots, bumps, dryness and red, bumpy areas and many times the rash may be itchy. Scratching the rash must be avoided in order to heal the rash.

      Put half a cup of oatmeal and three tea bags of chamomile flowers in a bath and soak in it for 10 minutes. This will help to soothe and heal the rash and and reduce dryness and itching.

      Rub olive oil directly onto the skin to moisturize and soothe a skin rash. Reapply the olive oil three times a day to keep the skin moisturized and heal the rash.

      Apply aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil from a capsule directly onto the rash. These both have the very powerful ability to heal wounds, burns, cuts and rashes and regenerate the skin.

      Drink eight to 12 glasses of water a day to help cleanse impurities in the skin and organs. This will keep your skin moisturized as your wash your body clean of toxins.

      Take an antihistamine like Claritin if the rash is allergy based. You can also rub anti-itch cremes such as Itch-X and Benadryl on the skin. An over-the-counter cortisone cream will help remove the rash.
