Cayenne Pepper Cures for Toe Fungus

If you suffer from toe fungus, there are many over-the-counter and prescription drugs you can use to combat it. However, many people rely on the tried and true remedies that have been passed down for generations. These include cayenne pepper. This spicy food can eliminate fungal infections.
  1. Ingestion

    • Eating cayenne pepper will help purify your body from the inside out. Incorporating cayenne pepper into your diet will eventually have some effect on your toe fungus. Start with a little and build up, to test your tolerance. If you choose to use this option along with the others listed, your fungus should clear up much faster.

    Pepper Foot Soak

    • By mixing ground cayenne pepper with boiling water and allowing it to cool, you can make a great foot soak that will allow the pepper to work directly on the fungus. Being a liquid, it will soak in under toenails and cuticles to treat the problem. Soaking your affected toe for half an hour twice a day should result in a marked improvement in about three days.

    Pepper Paste

    • Mix cayenne pepper with a few drops of vinegar to make a thick paste. Apply it directly to the affected toe, packing it in around the nail and under the nail. Wrap the toe in gauze and leave the paste in place all day. At night wash the toe and apply fresh paste and clean gauze. In about 48 hours your fungus should be nearly gone.
