Take an antihistamine to control the itching or uncomfortable symptoms of Pityriasis Rose. An over-the-counter antihistamine like Benadryl, Zyrtec or Claritan should help.

Apply Calamine lotion to your rash to help ease the itching an discomfort. You can also try other anti-itch creams like Aveeno oatmeal lotion or bath.

Applying hydrocortisone or zinc oxide cream can also help tame the rash from Pityriasis Rosea. Both of these things can be found in any local drug store. Zinc oxide is in most diaper rash ointments.

Get a diagnosis from your physician or a dermatologist. Any time you have an unusual rash, it is best that you get a confirmed diagnosis to rule out more serious ailments.
