How to Treat Ringworm at Home

Ringworm is a contagious, fungal infection of the skin -- characterized mostly by scaly red rings which appear on the skin. Breakouts can occur anywhere on the body and the infection can be minor (only a few rings) all the way to a major nuisance (all over the back and stomach). While it is not a serious infliction, it can be frustrating to stop the spreading and to kill off the infection. Not everyone has success with over-the-counter creams, drugs and doctor visits either. Now your problems are over. This home remedy gets great reviews and you will be wearing that revealing shirt in no time.

Instructions

    • 1

Apply clear nail polish to the ring worm site. Be sure to completely cover the infectious ring (all of them) with an application of the polish. This suffocates the fungi. Leave it on all day.

    • 2

Remove the polish after eight hours with nail polish remover. It is recommended to soak a paper towel patch in the remover and hold it over the inflicted spot for a few minutes. Then let the area dry out for about 15 minutes.

    • 3

Reapply the clear nail polish to the infected site. Continue this mode of action until the ringworm disappears.
