How to Keep Your Nipples From Chafing on Long Runs

Chafed nipples are an embarrassing and painful problem for people who run long distances. The constant rubbing of a runner's shirt or track suit against the nipple can cause chafing and even bleeding when stretched over a long period of time, so it's important to address the problem before beginning exercise to prevent pain and possibly a shortened run. There are a few solutions for creating a pain-free run that are cheap and easy to administer.

Instructions

    • 1

Cover your nipples in medical tape. A small piece is all you need, and it won't hurt when you remove it later.

    • 2

Use bandages or sticky pads meant for treating warts and corns.

    • 3

Apply a lubricant to the area, such as petroleum jelly. However, you may need to reapply the lubricant later in the race when it wears off.
