How to Avoid Heat Rashes
Heat rash, also known as prickly heat, is a skin problem that's prevalent in the summertime. These little red bumps are caused by overheating or too much heat exposure, and can occur anywhere on the body. Some rashes may itch; others won't. Most go away on their own in a few hours or days, but some may need treatment from a medical professional. Luckily, this summertime woe can be avoided.Instructions

1
Stay out of the heat. It's best to stay in cool, dry places. Remain in an air-conditioned area as often as you can.
-
2
Wear breathable fabrics. Cotton is your best bet -- it's thin and it allows the skin to breathe. If your clothing becomes wet with sweat, change as soon as possible; the wet clothing may block your pores and sweat glands, which can lead to heat rash. Materials to avoid are polyester and nylon, or anything too thick.

3
Wash your skin immediately after exercise. If you work out outside, take a shower right after with cool water and use an antibacterial soap.

4
Stay out of areas that could cause overheating. Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas if you're prone to heat rashes.
