Where is the respiratory system located in body?

The respiratory system is located in the chest cavity, also known as the thoracic cavity, of the body. It occupies the majority of the space within the chest, between the neck and the abdomen. The main organs of the respiratory system, including the lungs, trachea (windpipe), and bronchi, are situated within this cavity. The chest cavity is bordered by the sternum (breastbone) in the front, the spine and ribs in the back, and the diaphragm muscle at the bottom.
