Instructions for the Sequal Eclipse Oxygen Machine

The Sequal Eclipse 3 is a personal ambulatory oxygen system that gives patients who are prescribed supplemental oxygen the ability to retain their mobility; eliminating the need for heavy oxygen tanks. This system replaces the traditional cylindrical oxygen tank with a lightweight plastic unit that is roughly the size of a small vacuum cleaner and has a cart attachment for ambulation. Rather than transport oxygen, the device separates the oxygen out of the local atmosphere to deliver it to the patient as needed. This creates a never-ending supply of oxygen. This particular device is also approved by the FAA for use during air travel.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the unit in a well-ventilated area and check that the intake and exhaust areas are unobstructed.

    • 2

Press the "ON/OFF" button for at least 2 seconds -- to power on the unit -- and wait for the unit to run its self test. Once this test has cycled through, a confirmation beep will sound, indicating that the unit is ready.

    • 3

Attach the oxygen tubing or nasal cannula to the oxygen outlet port located on right-side of the unit, on the front and top.

    • 4

Choose the flow method by pressing the "Flow mode" button on the top of the unit. Once the flow mode is selected, the flow rate can be adjusted by using the "+" and "-" buttons. The specific flow mode and rate is determined by the prescription issued by the physician.

    • 5

Place the mask or nasal cannula on your face and breathe normally.
