How to Replace the Tubing on a Pari Proneb Nebulizer
The Pari Proneb nebulizer is a compact, air compressor and tubing system that is used to turn liquid medication into a aerosol to treat asthma and other chronic lung conditions. The aerosol solution is a fine mist that is easily breathable, allowing it to be quickly delivered to the lungs. The nebulizer and parts should be cleaned frequently to prevent a secondary infection. Most manufacturers recommend the tubing be changed every two months or every 100 uses. The tubing should be changed prior to these times, if medication has built up or if any defects are noted in the tubing.Instructions

1
Turn off and unplug the Pari Proneb nebulizer. Disconnecting the nebulizer from the power source will prevent an inadvertent electrical shock.
-
2
Remove the existing tubing from the air tubing outlet located on the front of the nebulizer, near the power switch.
-
3
Remove the new tubing from the package. Unravel the tubing along a flat surface, so that it is lying flat with no kinks. Inspect the tubing, looking for cracking or debris. Defective or dirty tubing should be replaced immediately.
-
4
Insert one end of the tubing into the air tubing outlet. Press firmly to ensure there is a snug connection between the tubing and the outlet.
-
5
Insert the other end of the tubing into the mask or mouthpiece of the nebulizer.
-
6
Insert the plug into an electrical outlet and press the power switch. Allow the nebulizer to run, while you check for leaks in the air tubing.
-
7
Unplug and turn off the machine, if a treatment is not being initiated.
