Directions for Flexifit 431 Full Face Masks

The FlexiFit 431 Full Face Mask is a medical respirator mask that is intended to be comfortable enough for patients to sleep while wearing it. According to the manufacturer, Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, the mask "automatically adjusts to a wide range of nasal and facial contours with simple one step ease of fitting and no complicated adjustments." Each mask includes small, medium and large silicone seals.

  Remove the plastic cover from the silicone seal.

  Unclip the headgear from the glider strap by pulling the release cord down. Hold the mask base in one hand and spread the mask with the other hand so it fits comfortably over the patient's head.

  Hold the mask against the patient's face with one hand so the bottom of the silicone seal is under the patient's chin. Spread the headgear over the patient's head with the other hand.

  Reattach the headgear clip to the glider strap.

  Adjust the top horizontal straps. Adjust the lower horizontal straps. Adjust the top crown straps.

  Ensure the glider strap is centered.

  Connect the CPAP/Bi-level machine hose running at the prescribed pressure to the mask.
