Place the nebulizer on a sturdy, level surface.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water.

Inspect the medication administration cup and the tubing. Replace any damaged equipment.

Check to make sure the filter is inserted and free of debris.

Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

Connect one end of the tubing to the nebulizer. Connect the other end of the tubing to the medication cup.

Unscrew the top of the nebulizer medication cup. Check your medication, making sure it is the correct medication and it has not expired. Pour the prescribed medication into the outer rim of the base of the cup. Replace the top keeping the medication cup upright.

Insert the top of the medication port into the lower end of the T-shaped mouthpiece.

Press the power button to begin the treatment.

Bring the mouthpiece up to your mouth. Create a tight seal around the tip of the mouthpiece with your lips. Breathe in deeply once every five seconds to inhale the medication. Repeat until the medication cup is empty. Each treatment takes between 10 and 20 minutes depending on your prescription.

Press the power button to turn off the machine once the treatment is complete.

Wash the medication cup with soap and hot water.

Hang the tubing to dry any excess condensation.

Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
