How to Reset a REMstar CPAP

CPAP stands for continuous positive airway pressure. CPAP therapy uses a machine that increases air pressure in your throat so that your airway does not collapse when you breathe in. It is commonly prescribed for people who experience obstructive sleep apnea, congestive heart failure, and other respiratory disorders. Most CPAP machines are pre-programmed by a specialist, but some minor troubleshooting may be up to you. If you own a REMstar CPAP machine and it freezes up or displays a "System Error ###" message, you need to reset your machine. This can be done easily at home without a visit from a specialist.
