What are Acupressure points for Restless legs syndrome?

Acupressure points for restless legs syndrome (RLS) include:

* Leg three miles point (ST-36) (located just below the knee, on the outer side of the shinbone)

* Spleen six point (SP-6) (located on the inside of the leg, about four finger-widths above the ankle bone)

* Liver three point (LV-3) (located on the top of the foot, between the big and second toes)

* Kidney one point (KI-1) (located on the sole of the foot, in the center of the heel)

* Bladder sixty point (BL-60) (located on the outside of the leg, about a hand-width above the ankle)

* Bladder sixty-two point (BL-62) (located on the outside of the leg, about two hand-widths above the ankle)

* Gallbladder forty point (GB-40) (located on the top of the foot, between the fourth and fifth toes)

To apply acupressure to these points, use your thumb or finger to apply firm, circular pressure for 30 seconds to 1 minute. You can also use an acupressure tool to apply pressure. Repeat the pressure to each point several times, or as needed.

Acupressure is a complementary therapy that may help relieve the symptoms of RLS. However, it is not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have RLS, talk to your doctor to discuss the best treatment options for you.
