What is a leg in geometry?
A line segment that joins the right-angle in a right triangle to the opposite vertex is known as a leg of a right triangle. In other words, a leg of a right triangle is any side that is not the hypotenuse. Pythagoras' Theorem states that the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the legs, which is mathematically expressed as: $$a^2 + b^2 = c^2$$ Here, `a` and `b` are the two legs of the right triangle and `c` is the hypotenuse.
