* In men: Trichomoniasis most commonly affects the urethra, the tube that carries urine out of the body. It can also infect the prostate gland, which produces semen.* In women: Trichomoniasis most commonly affects the vagina and the cervix, the opening to the uterus. It can also infect the fallopian tubes, which carry eggs from the ovaries to the uterus.
