Duac Directions

Duac is a band of topical gel that is applied once a day to help prevent acne. Duac contains benzoyl peroxide as well as an antibiotic agent. These help to open skin pores and reduce the oily buildup on the skin that causes acne. The gel is water-based and contains no alcohol that can irritate the skin. It is a prescription medication, however, so you will need to see your dermatologist before you will know if it is right for you.

Instructions

    • 1

Make an appointment with your dermatologist; the doctor will be able to tell you more about your skin type, what kind of acne you have and if Duac is the right medication for your condition.

    • 2

Wash your face with a mild soap. Rinse and dry your face to ensure that the pores are open and the medicine will be as effective as possible.

    • 3

Apply Duac to your face in a thin layer. Avoid your eyes and mouth when applying the gel. Wash your hands after applying the gel, as it is a medication and you don't want it remaining on your hands after you have applied it.
