Instructions

    • 1

Rinse the skin thoroughly in a cold shower. Cold water closes the pores and may help prevent any loose fiberglass particles from embedding in your skin. Do not use a washcloth, as this can push fiberglass particles farther into the skin.

    • 2

Rinse with hot water. This will open your pores, and may rinse away any fiber glass particles that were already stuck in your skin.

    • 3

Rub your skin with pantyhose. The pantyhose may snag any remaining pieces of fiberglass and remove them from your skin.

    • 4

Use a cream that contains hydrocortisone to help relieve the itching after you've dried off. This cream will help relieve symptoms caused by any fiberglass left in your skin.
