Burning Red Spots on My Cheeks

There are a few reasons why a person would have burning red spots on their cheeks. In most cases, the red spots are an easily treated skin condition. It is always best to visit a doctor to eliminated the need for concern, or if the condition persists.
  1. Rash

    • A rash will occur anywhere on the body including the face. Rashes will occur for reasons such as an allergic reaction to a new product or food, or illness. An over the counter medication is available to treat rashes, but if the rash does not clear up, it is best to visit a doctor.

    Sunburn

    • Sunburn is a cause of burning red cheeks. A person may be sunburned without realizing it, as a sunburn will occur very quickly especially in fair-skinned people. A sunburn is easily treatable with over-the-counter salves and lotions.

    Rosacea

    • Rosacea is a common skin condition characterized by a blush-like appearance on the cheeks, turning into a sweep of painful red bumps. There is no real cause or cure for rosacea, but the condition is treatable. For treatment, it is best to see a doctor.
