How Do I Use the Homedics Parrafin Bath?

Medical grade paraffin wax is used for dry skin conditions and aching joints. The Homedics Paraffin Bath is designed to hydrate and moisturize skin, leaving it soft and smooth.
  1. Preparation

    • Place the unit on a level surface. Place two pounds of paraffin wax into the machine. Plug the bath in and switch it on. Wait until the light turns green. This should take around two hours.

Wash your hands and feet. Lotion can enhance the moisturizing effect and makes the wax easier to remove.

    Using the Bath

    • Dip one foot into the liquid wax and pull out swiftly. Let the wax harden, then dip again. You can do this up to ten times. Wrap your feet in plastic bags and cover with a towel. Repeat for your hands and elbows. Leave the wax for 15-30 minutes. Remove the wax carefully, then rub more lotion into your skin.

Let the wax harden overnight in the machine. In the morning, pop the wax block out and wipe the inside of the machine with a cloth.

    Warning

    • The wax supplied with your Homedics unit has a special formulation with a lower melting point. Don't use any other wax as you risk injury. Don't get the machine wet.
