The size of human skin varies greatly from person to person, depending on their height, weight, and body proportions. However, on average, the total surface area of the skin for an adult male is approximately 1.8-2.2 square meters (19-23 square feet), while for an adult female it is approximately 1.6-1.9 square meters (17-20 square feet). The skin thickness also varies, ranging from 0.5 to 4 millimeters (0.02-0.16 inches), with the thickest skin on the palms and soles and the thinnest on the eyelids and genitalia. In general, males tend to have slightly thicker skin than females.
