Is dermatosis any condition of skin associated with inflammation?

Dermatosis refers to a broad category of skin conditions that involve abnormal changes in the skin's structure and function. While many dermatoses may be associated with inflammation, not all of them necessarily involve an inflammatory response. For instance, some skin conditions classified as dermatoses can be non-inflammatory, such as certain types of birthmarks or genetic skin disorders. Therefore, it is not accurate to define dermatosis solely as any skin condition associated with inflammation. It encompasses a wide range of skin disorders with varying causes, symptoms, and characteristics, including those that are inflammatory and those that are not.
