Does yogurt work on a sunburn?

Yogurt may provide some relief from the inflammation and discomfort of sunburn, but it is not a substitute for medical treatment. While yogurt contains some beneficial properties such as probiotics and lactic acid, its effectiveness in treating sunburn has limited scientific evidence. For sunburn, it's generally recommended to follow the "cool, hydrate, protect" approach:

- Cool the burn by taking cool baths or applying cool compresses.

- Hydrate yourself by drinking plenty of water.

- Protect the affected area by covering it with loose-fitting, lightweight clothing and using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF (30 or higher).

- Over-the-counter pain relievers can help alleviate any discomfort.

If your sunburn is severe, such as blistering, fever, or intense pain, it is important to seek medical attention.
