1
Wait a week and check the progress of the lesion. Many small abnormalities including cuts, bruises and sores will heal on their own.
-
2
Apply physical treatment. The healing of some lesions can be sped up by applying a bandage. Others, such as cold sores will heal faster if you regularly apply ice. Always clean the lesion to avoid infection.
-
3
Visit a doctor if your lesion doesn't clear up, or if it becomes painful. Because skin lesions incorporate such a large number of skin conditions, its best to consult a doctor rather than self-diagnose a potentially serious skin condition.

4
Visit a laser treatment center if the problem is only superficial. Many lesions have no adverse health effects but will not disappear on their own. Dark marks and sun damage on your skin can be addressed by laser therapy. However, this procedure can be costly, call a center near you and ask for prices, and if they offer a free screening.

5
Visit a clinic that provides dermabrasion to repair scars and skin damage. Dermabrasion is a process where a wire brush wears down the damaged skin. This allows a new layer of healthy skin to regrow in its place.
