1
Wash your entire face --- or other affected skin areas --- twice daily with a wash containing 5 percent benzoyl peroxide. If you are allergic to this, use a salicylic acid cleanser as a replacement.
-
2
Apply a benzoyl peroxide cream to the face after each wash. If you are allergic to this, use a sulfur-based cream or gel as a replacement.
-
3
Apply a spot-treatment to the affected area each night, after your regular nightly cleansing and moisturizing.
-
4
Avoid using oil-based makeup or oily moisturizers, until the deep pimple has cleared up. Keeping the area oil free will help speed up the recovery process.
-
5
Consult a doctor if the pimples continue. Complicated cases of deep acne might require special medication. If your pimples become over-bearing and do not go away with regular cleansing, it is time to pursue other treatment options.
