How to Use Fingertip Bandages
Things You'll Need
- Alcohol or hydrogen peroxide
- Anti-bacterial gel
- Cotton balls
- Gauze

Clean the cut with water and soap. Then, use a cotton ball to apply alcohol and hydrogen peroxide to to clean off bacteria. Add a dab of antibacterial gel onto the pad of the fingertip bandage.

Place the cut onto the dab of gel. The bandage will be placed with the long length of the pad aiming in the same direction as the finger. Then, using the other hand, wrap half of the bandage around. Then carefully wrap the other half of the bandage around. Squeeze and then smooth out the bandage to adhere.

Add a dab of antibacterial gel to gauze or cotton balls and place on the middle of the bandage pad if the injury is bleeding. Then place the wound onto the cotton ball or piece of gauze. Using your other hand, wrap the bandage carefully around your finger.Then wrap the other side of the bandage around your finger to adhere.

Make sure to pull bandages tight, especially if you are securing a cotton ball or piece of gauze; otherwise, the cotton ball or gauze may fall out of the bandage. Squeeze the ends of the bandage and smooth out any wrinkles or bumps to make sure water will not get trapped beneath the bandage.
