How to Get Rid of Itches Naturally

- Washcloth
- Soft towel
- Baking soda
- Bowl
- 1/8 cup oatmeal
- Olive oil

Soak a clean washcloth in cold water. Wring out the excess moisture then lay the cold compress on the itchy area of your skin for 10 minutes. Repeat this, as needed, to allow the cold moisture to soothe the itch.

Pat dry your skin with a clean, soft towel.

Place a couple pinches of baking soda in the palm of your hand. Add a couple drops of water to the baking soda to make a paste. Dab the baking soda paste onto the itchy area of skin to soothe itchiness from insect bites, allergies or hives; leave the paste on your skin until it dries.

Fill a large bowl or bucket with 3 cups warm water. Stir in 1/8 cup oatmeal then soak the itching area of skin in the oatmeal bath for 10 to 20 minutes. If the itch is all over your body, make an oatmeal bath in the bathtub, instead.

Rinse the skin off and gently dry it with a soft towel. Moisturize the skin with olive oil. Gently massage the oil into the skin until it's absorbed.
