1
Apply a warm compress to the affected eye for 10 minutes, three to four times a day. To make a warm compress, soak a washcloth with hot water. Ring out the washcloth and put it on the eye.

2
Apply a small amount of antibacterial ointment. Put a pin-sized amount of ointment on a cotton swab. Gently press the cotton swab onto the stye for two to three seconds.

3
Wash the eyelid with baby shampoo everyday. Mix three to five drops of baby shampoo with one cup of warm water. Dip a cotton swab into the mixture. Clean the infected eyelid with the cotton swab. You can wash both eyelids if you're prone to getting styes. Use a separate cotton swab for each eyelid.
