1
Soak your feet in a clean bucket or bowl filled with apple cider vinegar and warm water. Apple cider vinegar is known for having natural healing properties and can stop fungus from growing under additional toes. Dry your feet thoroughly after soaking.
-
2
Scrub your feet with mouthwash. Although this may seem silly, mouthwash has many ingredients that fight against bacteria and fungus. You can use a swab or cotton ball to reach into the areas under and around the toes.
-
3
Purchase over-the-counter anti-fungal cream from the drugstore. If your case of fungus is mild, this may be enough to cure it.
-
4
Call a doctor if your yellow toenails do not improve after two weeks. If you have a serious fungal infection, your doctor may want to prescribe oral medication or a prescription-strength cream.
-
5
Prevent future infections by always drying your feet after a shower. Don't immediately put on socks. Towel-dry your feet, and let your toes air-dry for a while. Sprinkle baby powder across your toes before putting on socks.
