How to Treat a Facial Cyst
Instructions

1
Contact your physician. If you notice any type of change in your facial cyst, such as discoloration or a change in size, consult your doctor for further assistance.
-
2
Ask for an evaluation of your cyst. A CT scan can differentiate between a harmless facial cyst and something much more serious. In rare cases, some facial cysts extend far beyond the skin and into the facial cavity.
-
3
Don't play doctor. Your facial cyst should only be removed by qualified physician. Do not attempt to remove it yourself because it will only grow back. Additionally, you risk infection and other complications if the cyst turns out to be something other than an ordinary cyst.
-
4
Go to your local emergency room if your facial cyst ruptures. Failure to do so will only result in unneccessary complications.
