How to Stop Skin Boils
A boil is a painful, pus-filled bump on the skin caused by a bacterial infection; it can spread if not treated effectively. A boil that has spread is a more serious condition called a carbuncle. Boils have several causes, including stress, allergies, toxins and problems with the immune system or thyroid gland. Poor hygiene or nutrition can contribute to the growth of a boil. Boils most commonly form on the face, neck, shoulders, underarms and buttocks. Start treating the boil in its early stages to keep it under control.Instructions

1
Wash the infected area with antibacterial soap, then soak it with a hot washcloth. Do this two to three times a day to reduce pain and bring the pus to the surface.

2
Keep it clean. After the boil has started to drain, keep it clean or the pus may spread the infection and form a carbuncle. Continue washing the area with antibacterial soap, then apply a medicated ointment and bandage. Continue this until the boil heals.

Adjust your diet. A well-balanced diet that contains garlic, fresh fruits and vegetables, fiber and at least 8 cups of water a day is ideal for boosting the immune system and preventing infections. Avoid processed foods, sugars and refined food such as white bread.
